SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Freight Billing Specialist is responsible for working with our portfolio of carrier partners to resolve any billing issues on our customer’s behalf, while maintaining a high level of customer service throughout the dispute process.


DUTIES
 
  • Research customer invoice disputes to determine validity of dispute
  • File all bill correction requests with carrier partners on behalf of customer
  • Follow up with carriers on any outstanding disputes regularly to reach resolution in a timely manner
  • Communicate with customers to gather all needed information for bill correction request.
  • Communicate the outcome of each dispute with the customer and include sales or account management, when necessary
  • Ensure that appropriate credits are requested and processed for customers when disputes are approved
  • Act as an expert on carrier billing processes and tariffs



JOB REQUIREMENT
 
  • 0 - 2 years experience
  • Strong problem-solving, organization and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and processes
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and provide clear communication across all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable managing workload independently and effectively
 
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $35,000 Salary
  • Full Medical, Dental, Vision & 401K
  • 2 Weeks Vacation plus all major holidays
  • Monday - Friday ... No nights or weekends

 SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Desire to succeed in the Business World
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 1 - 3 years of practical experience
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills
